1. How do I go about getting a CAIP account/keycard?

     On the 6th floor of Core building, across from room 616, there is a bin that contains two forms, one for a CAIP account and one for a new keycard.

   You can also download the forms:

2. How can I read my CAIP emails?

    A. Webmail - Selecting this option allows you to log in using
         any web browser and checking your mail
    B. Using your favorite SSH client, please connect caipclassic.rutgers.edu
         and use "pine" to read your mail.
    C. Using your favorite mail reader (Outlook/Thunderbird/Eudora/etc)
          you can configure them using the following options:
                      Incoming Mail Servers: caip.rutgers.edu
                      Outgoing Mail Servers: caip.rutgers.edu

 3. How do I setup to print on the hallway/color printers?

     A. Go to your start bar and select "RUN"
     B. Type in "\\printers.rutgers.edu"
     C. Double click on the printer you wish to have installed.  The following
            is a list of printers available in CAIP.

  • 5th Floor Printer - c500

  • 6th Floor Printer - c600

  • 7th Floor Printer -c700

  • Color Printer - c633gn

  • Color Plotter - c633plotter

4. How do I get a network address for my computer/laptop

      Please visit any member of out technical support staff and we will be happy to assist you.
